DIY Dishwasher Tabs / All Things Thieves

DIY DISHWASHER TABS/WIN!!

I am basically a scientist now 😀 After experiencing what happens when you combine citric acid and baking soda, and water together, I now know to use a larger vessel when mixing. 😉 I’m counting my DIY dishwasher tabs another WIN though, whoop whoop!

ITEMS NEEDED:

  • ICE CUBE TRAY (THE SILICONE ONES WILL BE EASIER TO WORK WITH)
  • THIEVES HOUSEHOLD CLEANER
  • ARM & HAMMER LAUNDRY BOOST
  • BAKING SODA
  • CITRIC ACID
  • LEMON EO (CITRUS FRESH EO OPTIONAL)
  • WATER
  • LARGE MIXING BOWL

DIRECTIONS:

In large mixing bowl combine:

  • 1 cup A&H Laundry Boost
  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Citric Acid
  • 1 TBSP. Thieves Household Cleaner
  • 10 drops Lemon EO and 10 drops Citrus Fresh EO

Mix together above ingredients.

Next add 1 cup water and be ready to mix swiftly.  Transfer mixture to ice cube trays and press firmly. Let dry over night and gently pop tabs and store in glass container.

I was super nervous to check the results after using one of my diy dishwasher tabs for the first time.  I gave it a hard test, because there were several dishes with baked on food.  To my delight, my dishes were sparkling clean!! Not only have I began to create a safer environment for my family, I am finding so much joy in creating safer products for our home!
